Alan Gross has been sentenced to 15 years in prison a week after the trial concluded
The government of Cuba has been sentenced to 15 years in prison at the U.S. contractor Alan P . Gross, whom he accused of working for his country in a clandestine project networks against the communist island.
An official statement released on Saturday
indicates that the People's Provincial Tribunal of Havana found guilty Gross, 61, of "acts against the independence or territorial integrity."

The lawyer argued that for a lesser punishment could have been used as stipulated in Decree-Law 88, which provides that one who distributes equipment of any kind from the United States or private entities shall be liable to fine.
To Diversent, this condemnation of punishing mood prevailed that individual hard fact has an extreme political sensitivity is further constrained because of the deteriorating relations between Washington and Havana.
Independent Counsel considered that this statement may serve several purposes and gave the first intention to redeem the contractor for the five Cuban spies imprisoned in the United States.
